Job Description
Recovery Access Specialist serving as Groups’ first contact for members seeking outpatient substance use disorder treatment. Conducting intake assessments, answering clinical questions, and scheduling EMR appointments.
Responsibilities:
- Answer all calls within established guidelines in a welcoming, energetic manner
- Explain organizational structure and program criteria to prospective and current members
- Provide informed answers to clinical questions and identify, assist, and follow through on caller needs
- Initiate client Biopsychosocial Assessments using motivational interviewing techniques to determine program eligibility
- Schedule initial intake appointments using the EMR
- Facilitate seamless client intake and coordinate client no-shows with clinic coordinators
- Serve as the first touchpoint and member liaison for prospective and current members
- Provide a positive experience and build therapeutic rapport with clients
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1-year experience in human services/healthcare or customer service professional role
- Access to reliable internet and telephone services with at least 10M download and 5M upload speeds
- Strong WiFi signal from the remote work location
- Must meet pre-employment requirements and maintain applicable state and job-related background-screening guidelines
- Depending on state-specific requirements, fingerprinting, drug testing, health screening, CPR/Basic First Aid, and license/credential verifications may be required
- Friendly, clear, and warm phone communication style
- Critical thinking, judgment, prioritization, and customer service skills
- Comfort working with multiple IT systems, applications, tools, and telecommunication systems
- Ability to work independently under general supervision
- Ability to understand and adhere to the Code of Conduct
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 11am–7pm EST
- Must work a minimum of 3 company holidays per year and 2 company mental health days per year
