Job Description

Regional operations leader guiding 13–17 veterinary hospitals for Community Veterinary Partners. Driving quality, profitability, staffing, and growth across Central Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tactical direction and vision to 13–17 veterinary hospital locations
  • Ensure high customer service and compliance with medical, non-medical, policy, and legal standards
  • Ensure pet, client, and team safety and maintain clean, safe, organized hospitals
  • Assimilate new partner hospitals into the CVP family
  • Develop business relationships with Practice Managers, Lead Doctors, and Associate Doctors
  • Improve revenue growth and control inventory, purchasing, labor, and other expenses
  • Manage P&L and provide monthly reporting to the Core Leadership team
  • Develop remediation strategies for operational outcomes
  • Supervise facility improvement projects
  • Review hospital performance and key financial metrics
  • Achieve profitable growth objectives within the assigned region
  • Develop fiscal, strategic, and clinical processes with hospitals
  • Implement proactive marketing strategies with the Marketing team
  • Assist Business Development in identifying hospital acquisition opportunities
  • Develop leadership skills and engagement/accountability cultures
  • Forecast staffing needs and recruit/select Doctors and Practice Managers
  • Partner with Human Resources to develop and mentor teams
  • Escalate and resolve employee relations issues
  • Maintain scheduling and Doctor coverage; approve continuing education and PTO time off
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of Veterinary Practice/Management experience
  • Preferably three (3) years or more in multi-location management in a service industry role
  • Reside in the Central PA area
  • Leadership, decisiveness, high emotional intelligence, analytical skills, coaching/mentoring, change management, communication skills, financial acumen, and time management
  • MS Office skills
  • Prior knowledge of Veterinary Practice Management Software is preferred
  • High-travel position, primarily by car
  • Ability to sit and talk or hear regularly; occasionally stand and walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
