Job Description

Supports and develops the marketing and public relations programs for a healthcare facility. Responsible for maintaining community relations and increasing facility census through educational initiatives and outreach.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and educate facility’s marketing and public relations programs and services.
  • Develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s public relations and marketing programs and activities.
  • Maintain and increase the facility’s census by providing the community with information about the facility’s programs, services, and practices.
  • Develop and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the release of information concerning the residents, employees, and/or the facility in accordance with current Privacy Rules and Regulations.
  • Assist the Administrator and department directors in the development and use of marketing and public relations policies and procedures.
  • Establish a rapport in and between departments so that each staff member can realize the importance of their role in our marketing and public relations programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing or public relations, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Must have strong business and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with basic mathematical concepts and operations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite products.
  • Maintain licensing credentials for an Administrator.
