Job Description

Regional Medical Advisor guiding scientific engagement and medical strategy for Dr. Reddy’s affordable medicines in India. Partnering with physicians and thought leaders to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary scientific face of the organization to thought leaders and physicians in a given therapy area
  • Identify, map, and profile thought leaders by geography and therapy area
  • Engage key thought leaders through medical affairs activities aligned with the strategic plan
  • Execute strategic medical affairs activities, including medical education, product education, medical evidence generation, advisory boards, pre-license activities, and special projects
  • Discuss scientific product data, patient treatment trends, and therapeutic-area studies with leading specialists and other stakeholders
  • Support optimal patient outcomes through communication of data, information, knowledge, and insights
  • Represent the organization on internal and external scientific platforms
  • Gather insights on disease trends and treatment patterns and communicate them to therapy leads and commercial teams
  • Conduct disease trend analysis and contribute to annual Medical Affairs Strategy Plans
  • Receive and process scientific information requests from physicians
  • Ensure regional and therapeutic-area activities comply with the COBE Policy and compliance guidelines
  • Collaborate with thought leaders on reviews, meta-analyses, case studies, case series, patient-reported outcomes, and journal publications
  • Develop training plans to communicate the latest medical developments to sales and marketing teams
  • Develop Medical Affairs strategic plans for therapeutic areas and products
  • Identify knowledge, practice, and data gaps and create strategic medical action plans
  • Handle complex healthcare-professional questions about GGI products or disease areas
  • Ensure promotional, physician, and patient education materials are approved on time and comply with promotional-material policy
  • Identify unmet needs and contribute to new product ideation and differentiated product development

Requirements:

  • MBBS with a full-time postgraduate qualification of at least 2 years’ duration in any discipline of medicine, or MBBS with an MBA from a reputed institute
  • Fresh postgraduate or up to 2 years of experience in field-based Medical Affairs
  • Strong academic record and deep knowledge of the therapeutic area
  • Research strength, including knowledge of research methodologies and medical-data interpretation
  • Scientific acumen and communication skills for peer-to-peer relationships with leading specialists
  • Experience with complex business environments preferred
  • Strong track record of success demonstrated through annual performance ratings and/or professional accomplishments and awards
