Job Description
Regional Sales Director leading Milacron’s injection molding machinery and aftermarket sales across the Western US. Managing teams, strategic accounts, forecasts, and customer growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional team including machinery sales representatives and aftermarket sales/service team members
- Establish performance goals, sales strategies, and professional development plans
- Foster collaboration between machinery and aftermarket teams to deliver comprehensive customer solutions
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies for capital equipment and aftermarket business lines
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify business opportunities
- Oversee key account management and ensure long-term customer satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with marketing and product management on regional initiatives, national campaigns, and product launches
- Drive new machinery sales by prospecting, qualifying, and securing new plastics-processing customers
- Promote aftermarket offerings including spare parts, service contracts, machine retrofits, and training programs
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences
- Manage regional sales budgets, forecasts, and expense control
- Track and report bookings, margins, and market-share growth
- Ensure profitable sales growth and adherence to pricing and discounting guidelines
- Maintain relationships with OEMs, molders, processors, and key decision-makers across the territory
- Represent the customer to internal teams to drive product and service improvements
- Ensure a seamless customer experience from initial sale through post-installation support
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in capital equipment sales within the plastics industry or industrial manufacturing sector
- Proven leadership experience managing sales teams and achieving growth targets
- Strong technical understanding of plastics processing machinery, including injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, or thermoforming
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region (50%)
- Demonstrated ability to grow both machinery and aftermarket sales revenue
- Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to customer engagement
- High degree of integrity, accountability, and initiative
