Job Description

Residential solar operations intern supporting IGS Energy’s renewable energy business. Improving operational processes through data analysis, documentation, auditing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Work across billing and collections, document management, UCC and SREC applications, solar system monitoring, reporting and analytics, contract management, marketing, quality assurance, data analysis, finance and accounting, legal and regulatory, customer service, and information technology
  • Assist with day-to-day processes supporting residential solar projects and customers
  • Develop and update user guides, job aids, and documentation
  • Audit completed work, identify issues, make corrections, and provide status updates to management
  • Collaborate with internal teams and IGS Engineering, Procurement, and Construction partners
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and business processes
  • Help the team meet accuracy, service level, financial, and operational goals

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Economics, or a related field
  • Solar or renewable energy experience is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills, including business case or financial modeling, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, nested IF statements, and Boolean logic
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and SharePoint
  • Strong analytical thinking, technology aptitude, and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic document management skills
  • Willingness to learn new systems, tools, technologies, and business processes
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
  • Positive attitude, self-motivation, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis
