Job Description
Revenue Accountant managing ASC 606 revenue treatment and financial reporting for Routeware. Collaborating with multiple departments to enhance accuracy and compliance in financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Review agreements to determine the correct revenue treatment under the guidance of ASC 606.
- Investigate billing, contract, and revenue recognition issues to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in month-end close process and prepare revenue related account reconciliations
- Assist in documentation/implementation of revenue accounting processes and internal controls.
- Support business processes by partnering with other departments, including but not limited to Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address customer billing concerns, system errors, and process inefficiencies.
- Participate in various system automation and enhancement projects to promote more timely and accurate financial reporting
- Support request for either financial or tax authority audit or review, and other ad-hoc requests
Requirements:
- BS in Accounting
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex revenue transactions, identify discrepancies, resolve billing and revenue recognition issues, and implement process improvements that enhance financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Strong communication skills via multiple platforms and tools.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Team player with strong work ethic
- Experience working in a complex ERP system; Sage Intacct is strongly preferred
- Working experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
- Efficient with Microsoft Excel
