Job Description
WinField United sales intern supporting growers and retailers with agronomy, sales, and field trial projects. Land O’Lakes summer internship offering hands-on experience in agricultural solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with growers and retailers on business development, customer relationship, and sales skills
- Learn about WinField United products and services
- Utilize field trial testing to uncover yield potential through nutrients, crop protection, and seed
- Bring targeted insights to growers via total acre solutions
- Complete a business-critical project
- Network with industry leaders
- Tour state-of-the-art facilities
- Participate in an 11-week summer internship from May through August 2027
- Travel throughout the duration of the summer
- Potentially transition into the WinField United Associate Program, a full-time two-year rotational program
Requirements:
- Sophomore or Junior undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in agronomy, crop & soil science, agriculture business, ag sales, ag systems management, or another related field
- Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Prior agronomy or ag retail experience, with a focus on customer interaction preferred
- Familiarity with the ag retail system preferred
- Ability to work without direct supervision preferred
- Excellent communication, writing, and critical thinking skills preferred
- Ability to manage time, prioritize, and implement projects and general work tasks preferred
- Resourceful and innovative in finding solutions to problems preferred
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing business surroundings preferred
- Ability to travel throughout the summer
