Job Description

Residential sales representative growing IKO roofing product sales across North Quebec. Managing distributor relationships, contractor demand, territory growth, and customer training.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage territory activities to achieve sales and market share growth
  • Use approved sales and marketing strategies and tools while providing excellent customer service
  • Increase market share and strengthen relationships with existing distribution accounts
  • Identify new business opportunities, leads, prospects, and acquire new business
  • Determine customer needs and propose appropriate solutions to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations and follow up with key decision makers
  • Develop awareness of market behavior and competitive trends
  • Develop relationships and grow sales with assigned distribution customers
  • Contact roofing contractors, remodelers, builders, and architects to drive demand for IKO products
  • Present products and programs to qualified distributors and end users weekly
  • Conduct product knowledge training sessions with customers
  • Follow up on customer or IKO administration inquiries
  • Submit weekly territory intelligence reports
  • Attend required meetings, functions, and company-provided training
  • Investigate and process product quality complaints in the territory
  • Adhere to IKO policies and procedures, including Health and Safety and Vehicle policies
  • Report to the Regional Sales Manager and be responsible for territory sales and administration

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proven ability of calling primarily on the end user and performing “pull through” sales techniques
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Prior sales experience in building products industry is preferred
  • Prior sales experience contacting roofing contractors, builders and/or architects is preferred
  • Prior professional sales training is preferred
  • 2 or 4 year college degree in a Sales or Marketing related field is preferred
  • Good driving record with valid driver’s license
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Authorized to work in Canada
  • Up to 80% travel may be required
