Job Description

Senior SAP MDG EAM consultant designing and delivering asset-data solutions. Supporting Fusion Consulting’s global life-sciences digital transformations across SAP ECC and S/4HANA.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical architecture, design, development, and implementation of SAP MDG EAM and AIW solutions
  • Design and enhance SAP MDG data models, change request types, governance processes, workflows, validations, derivations, user interfaces, and replication frameworks
  • Develop and enhance solutions for EAM master-data objects, including Functional Locations, Equipment, Maintenance Bills of Material, Task Lists, Measuring Points, Work Centres, Classification, and related reference data
  • Use Asset Information Workbench capabilities for asset-data creation, maintenance, migration, validation, and mass processing
  • Develop custom solutions using ABAP, ABAP Objects, Web Dynpro ABAP, Floorplan Manager, BAdIs, enhancement frameworks, and SAP MDG APIs
  • Design and implement rule-based validations and derivations using BRFplus, custom logic, and SAP MDG enhancement frameworks
  • Configure and enhance SAP MDG workflows, including rule-based workflow, agent determination, parallel processing, escalation, and approval routing
  • Design technical integrations and data replication using DRF, IDocs, web services, APIs, SAP Integration Suite, and other middleware technologies
  • Support data migration and mass-processing activities using AIW utilities, SAP migration tools, custom upload programs, and reconciliation reports
  • Perform technical assessments and remediation for SAP MDG EAM migrations, upgrades, and transitions to SAP S/4HANA
  • Lead technical activities through design, build, testing, cutover, hypercare, and production support
  • Analyse and resolve complex technical and performance issues
  • Prepare technical specifications, solution design documents, interface designs, test evidence, deployment instructions, and operational support documentation
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, EAM consultants, integration teams, data-migration teams, Basis teams, business stakeholders, and third-party providers
  • Coordinate onshore and offshore development teams

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of SAP consulting experience, including significant experience in senior SAP technical or solution-design roles
  • Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP MDG EAM and Asset Information Workbench (AIW)
  • Proven experience with SAP EAM technical objects such as Functional Locations, Equipment, Maintenance Bills of Material, Task Lists, Measuring Points, Work Centres, and Classification
  • Strong expertise in ABAP, ABAP Objects, Web Dynpro ABAP, Floorplan Manager, BAdIs, enhancement frameworks, BRFplus, and SAP workflow
  • Experience configuring and extending SAP MDG data models, change request types, workflows, validations, derivations, and user interfaces
  • Strong knowledge of SAP MDG replication and integration technologies, including DRF, IDocs, APIs, web services, and SAP Integration Suite
  • Experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments, including SAP MDG migration, upgrade, or transformation programmes
  • Experience with data migration, mass upload, data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling frameworks
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical and performance issues across SAP MDG, AIW, SAP EAM, workflows, and integrations
  • Strong technical documentation, stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills
  • Experience leading technical workstreams and coordinating onshore and offshore development teams
  • SAP Master Data Governance Certification preferred
  • SAP BTP or SAP Integration Suite Certification preferred
  • Experience with SAP MDG on SAP S/4HANA, co-deployed and hub deployment models, Consolidation and Mass Processing, SAP Fiori, and Clean Core architecture preferred
