Job Description
Seafreight Specialist coordinating international ocean freight shipments for Expedock’s tech-enabled offshore workforce platform. Managing shipment data, documentation, tracking, and carrier coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor international ocean freight shipments from planning through delivery
- Maintain accurate shipment data, planning sheets, and ERP system records
- Obtain, verify, and update shipment information from shipping lines, hauliers, logistics partners, and overseas offices
- Manage shipping documentation and support customs-related processes
- Track shipment progress and proactively address delays, exceptions, and operational issues
- Coordinate with internal teams, carriers, agents, and overseas offices to ensure timely shipment updates
- Support KPI achievement, cost control, and process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Proven experience in ocean freight operations and freight forwarding — required
- Solid knowledge of international shipping procedures, documentation, and supply chain processes
- Experience using ERP or Transport Management Systems (TMS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong English communication skills (B1/B2 level or higher)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote, international environment
- Fiber internet, recommended speed of 100/50 Mbps
- Backup internet capable of at least 20 Mbps
- Quiet, conducive home workspace
- Optional wired Ethernet connection preferred during work hours
- Optional power backup (UPS) if the location experiences frequent outages)
