Job Description

Senior Accountant managing general ledger close, financial reporting, and equity accounting for EverCommerce’s SaaS service-commerce platform. Supporting stock compensation, audits, and cross-functional finance initiatives remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for assigned areas
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger
  • Analyze account fluctuations and investigate variances
  • Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting
  • Assist with annual audits and compliance requirements
  • Improve accounting processes and internal controls
  • Prepare accounting entries for stock-based compensation under ASC 718
  • Account for stock options, RSUs, and ESPP transactions
  • Prepare equity roll-forward schedules and supporting documentation
  • Assist with financial statement disclosures related to equity compensation
  • Support external valuation specialists and auditors during reporting cycles
  • Assist with equity plan and equity management platform administration
  • Coordinate with Legal, HR, Payroll, and external service providers
  • Maintain equity award records and employee transactions
  • Support employee equity inquiries
  • Participate in special projects, acquisitions, and system/process improvements
  • Research technical accounting matters
  • Support cross-functional Finance, Payroll, HR, and Legal initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong general ledger accounting experience
  • Month-end close experience
  • Account reconciliation experience
  • Financial reporting experience
  • Experience accounting for stock-based compensation and equity transactions
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP; IFRS knowledge is an asset
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with equity administration platforms such as Morgan Stanley ETRADE or similar preferred
  • Experience in a publicly traded or private equity-backed company preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Must be eligible to work without sponsorship
