Job Description
Senior Accountant managing IFRS close, reporting, and EMEA tax compliance for DoiT’s cloud technology business. Maintaining ledgers, reconciliations, controls, and financial reporting in NetSuite and FloQast.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across EMEA entities in accordance with IFRS
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, balance-sheet schedules, and flux analysis
- Prepare monthly accruals for legal, consulting, T&E, marketing, payroll-related, and tax liabilities
- Manage monthly OPEX allocations across departments, cost centers, and entities
- Prepare bank reconciliations and clear reconciling items
- Prepare intercompany receivable and payable reconciliations and support settlement activities
- Maintain prepaid schedules, amortization, and the fixed asset register
- Prepare payroll journal entries, accrued compensation, and bonus schedules
- Assist with financial statements, IFRS reporting, and balance-sheet and income-statement flux analysis
- Perform variance and trend analysis, escalate issues, and propose resolutions
- Use NetSuite to maintain workpapers, schedules, and account activity for reporting and audit readiness
- Prepare materials and respond to external auditor requests
- Assist with internal controls and document key control procedures
- Manage VAT and withholding tax compliance across EMEA jurisdictions
- Support NetSuite optimization and document close procedures
- Use FloQast for close checklists, reconciliations, AI-enabled flux analysis, transaction matching, and workflows
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities using AI-powered tools
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, HR, and People Operations
- Undertake additional accounting responsibilities and ad hoc projects
Requirements:
- 4–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including demonstrated experience in the monthly financial close cycle
- Demonstrated command of the balance sheet close: cash, intercompany, prepaids, fixed assets, vendor accruals, payroll, VAT, and similar areas
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to build and maintain detailed workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules independently
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite, including general ledger, financial reporting, and related modules
- Working knowledge of IFRS, including the ability to research technical accounting issues and clearly document conclusions
- Superior organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in the SaaS or software industry, including familiarity with subscription revenue models and related accounting nuances
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a continuous improvement mindset
- Preferred/advantageous: experience in public company or public accounting environments
- Preferred/advantageous: AI fluency using tools such as FloQast Transform, Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or comparable platforms
- Preferred/advantageous: FP&A collaboration experience
- Preferred/advantageous: familiarity with FloQast’s close management and reconciliation platform
- Preferred/advantageous: ACCA/CPA license or active ACCA/CPA candidacy
- Preferred/advantageous: experience with IFRS 15 / ASC 606, ASC 340-40, or IFRS 2 / ASC 718
- Preferred/advantageous: SOX compliance experience
- Preferred/advantageous: ERP implementation or system migration experience
