Job Description
Senior Application Engineer serving as GE Vernova’s technical interface for BWRX-300 nuclear projects in Poland and Europe. Evaluating sites, adapting designs, and guiding pre-contract customer delivery planning.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical interface with new nuclear power plant customers in Poland and other European countries before site-specific design contracts
- Determine which potential sites are best suited to host BWRX-300 reactors
- Determine the work necessary to adapt the standard BWRX-300 design to specific projects
- Interface across organizational levels to keep the GEH BWRX-300 product offering aligned with customer expectations
- Report to the Technical Sales Director
- Lead evaluation of customer, country, and site-specific requirements
- Coordinate site layouts, external hazard screenings, and preliminary heat balances
- Bridge GE Vernova engineering teams, external partners, and customers
- Develop delivery schedules, cost estimates, and project responsibility frameworks
- Represent engineering, fuel, and services expertise in high-level customer meetings
- Translate complex technical requirements into value propositions
- Synthesize customer development strategies and competitive data to inform product offerings
- Collaborate with Sales and Product Line Management
- Present technology and solutions to customers as a subject matter expert
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) major
- Significant experience in Application or Sales Engineering, Construction Project Management, or similar large-scale project management with a strong customer-facing focus
- Excellent proficiency in English and Polish, written and spoken, including technical terminology
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily within Poland
- Field experience working on new nuclear power plant projects preferred
- Knowledge of nuclear power systems, controls, equipment, and international nuclear regulatory frameworks preferred
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build effective networks to drive project efficiency preferred
- Resident of Poland with unrestricted legal authorization to work in Poland
- Must be a citizen of a country on the U.S. Department of Energy’s List of Generally Authorized Countries (10 CFR Part 810 Appendix A), unless specific authorization is obtained
