Job Description
Senior Application Engineer developing and supporting enterprise data solutions for OHSU's Health System. Involving data engineering, ETL development, and analytics for healthcare operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support population health, value-based care, financial analytics, and data-driven clinical operations across the OHSU Health System.
- Develop, optimize, and support enterprise data warehouse solutions.
- Design and build scalable data structures, create and maintain ETL pipelines, support analytics for clinical and operational leaders.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of healthcare encounters, financial, and claims data.
Requirements:
- One of the following: Bachelor’s in computer science, business, or related field + 8 years of IT experience or a combination of clinical or operational environments.
- Associate’s degree + 9 years of IT experience or a combination of clinical or operational environments.
- 10 years IT, clinical, or operational healthcare experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years as an Application Engineer/Developer using SQL Server SSIS.
- 2+ years of advanced SQL or T‑SQL development and performance tuning.
- Experience with ETL development, dimensional modeling, metadata management, and technical documentation.
- 3+ years of experience working in relational databases.
