Job Description
Senior Business Analyst managing financial close, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and reporting for DSV’s global transport and logistics operations. Supporting customers, operations leaders, HR, and staffing partners.
Responsibilities:
- Complete month-end closing for assigned locations, including accruals and journal entries
- Prepare and present financial result analysis to operations and leadership teams
- Act as the customer’s finance expert for invoicing and external budgeting cycles
- Review monthly expense postings and prepare reclasses as needed
- Prepare and submit monthly customer invoices and supporting documentation
- Create, analyze, and present internal budgets, forecasts, and flash reporting
- Provide periodic and ad hoc financial reporting using ERP systems, worksheets, and manually collected data
- Create and review labor productivity reporting and metrics
- Liaise with HR regarding employee position, task, and financial coding
- Partner with temporary staffing agencies to confirm hours, rates, and invoicing
- Review and approve accounts payable invoices
- Report to the Area Senior Finance Manager
Requirements:
- 4-year Accounting/Finance degree required
- 5+ years of finance/accounting experience required
- Prior experience with P&L analysis
- Strong understanding of internal and external budgeting and forecasting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Must be able to pass required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests
- Prior Logistics/Contract Logistics experience is a plus, but not required
- ERP software experience (SAP) helpful, not required
- Strong time management
- Comfortable working in a quantitatively heavy role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work independently and with a team
