Job Description

Senior Business Analyst improving Medicaid claims and eligibility operations for Gainwell Technologies. Translating healthcare client needs into requirements, process improvements, and validated IT project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate a business analyst team’s duties and activities on IT projects
  • Nurture newer team members by providing guidance and support
  • Serve as a bridge between clients, project managers, and technical staff
  • Define, document, and share business requirements and expected impact
  • Develop business specifications with clients at the start of technical projects
  • Analyze, plan, design, document, or recommend improvements to business processes
  • Support clients’ technology goals through process improvement
  • Verify requirements have been met by approving and validating test results
  • Use Excel or SQL to quantify anticipated business impact
  • Support critical healthcare initiatives involving Medicaid programs, claims, and eligibility operations

Requirements:

  • 6 or more years of experience in a relevant Business Analyst position
  • 3 or more years of Medicaid and Medicare experience preferred
  • Experience in Medicaid claims processing and eligibility business functions strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of computer programming concepts such as configuration, development, and batch processing
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel or SQL
  • Experience with requirement-mapping tools such as Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools
  • Strong client communication skills
  • Strong analytical, business process re-engineering, and business process modeling skills
  • Ability to gather, elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required on day one
  • Ability to learn client-specific systems, applications, and business process tools
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews and the initial week of orientation
  • Photo will be taken during screening for verification in all steps of the recruitment process
  • Must join screenings, interviews, and meetings from a quiet location with stable internet
  • Video is required for screenings and interviews
  • Do not use AI tools, virtual backgrounds/filters, or visual enhancements during the interview
