Job Description
Senior Business Systems Analyst supporting NBCUniversal’s ad sales technology systems. Troubleshooting integrations, managing incidents, and improving platforms for media and entertainment operations.
Responsibilities:
- Own and analyze tickets from a queue, follow up on requests, and meet established SLAs
- Collaborate with team counterparts to solve issues independently or as part of a team
- Provide stakeholder updates throughout issue resolution
- Assess business impact and escalate critical issues when necessary
- Document and follow standard operating procedures for production troubleshooting and incident management
- Leverage AI tools for issue resolution and documentation
- Understand system design, guide others on complex business logic, and troubleshoot calculation, integration, and backend data issues
- Identify and manage defects with vendors and engineering teams to resolve and implement solutions
- Collaborate across teams to understand system functionality and architecture, solve issues, and document solutions in a knowledge base
- Analyze process and system issues and recommend improvements, including automation opportunities
- Determine alerts, monitors, and logging needed to identify, troubleshoot, and prevent issues
- Work occasional evenings during special events
- Participate in rotating weekend on-call shifts for urgent issues and backup coverage
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in an ad sales system
- Experience troubleshooting software, system integrations, and other technology issues
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with customer interactions and maintaining positive relationships
- Willingness to have a flexible work schedule for operational and special event coverage needs
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, IS, or similar technical discipline
- Self-motivated and accountable, with a high level of commitment to responsibility
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to work across multiple groups
- Experience providing automated solutions (scripting, testing, RPA, etc.)
- Experience working with modern technology solutions (APIs, data streams, microservices)
