Job Description
Senior Cloud Architect designing Azure, Fabric, and M365 solutions for Orion Innovation’s global technology services clients. Leading migrations, integrations, proofs of concept, and architecture standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of technical solution designs across internal and external/client-facing projects
- Translate business requirements into architecture patterns and solution designs with business stakeholders, engineering, and compliance teams
- Document solution designs and patterns using architecture diagrams and design documents
- Deliver working environments hands-on, remove roadblocks, and support engineering team success
- Research emerging technologies and develop implementation standards and best practices
- Create proof of concepts to validate design recommendations
- Review work products and mentor team members
Requirements:
- Track record delivering scalable, production-ready, cloud-first solution designs using Microsoft Azure, Fabric, and M365 technologies
- Experience delivering solutions incorporating AI concepts and technologies, including Microsoft Foundry, agentic frameworks, and RAG
- Experience with containerization technologies including AKS, Azure Container Apps, Istio, and image management
- Understanding of Windows and Linux administration fundamentals, including Ubuntu and RHEL
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT security, networking, software development, infrastructure deployment methodologies, and industry best practices
- Experience with Microsoft and Azure data platforms including Fabric, Power BI, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, SQL Server, DocumentDB, and Azure Data Factory
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 15+ years of professional experience in network/system administration, software development, information security, or related disciplines
- Evidence of technical leadership through design influence, architecture standards, or improved solution delivery practices
- Continuous learning and adaptation to new tools and platforms
- Nice to have: Experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Advanced Security
- Nice to have: Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Nice to have: Familiarity with Python or PowerShell for scripting and automation
