Job Description

Senior Cloud Network Engineer supporting 11:11 Systems’ cloud networks and disaster recovery customers. Leading complex troubleshooting, security, documentation, and infrastructure changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated customer-facing support for 11:11 Systems’ cloud network systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and complex escalations
  • Own and provide accountability for assigned responsibilities involving cloud network systems
  • Lead network troubleshooting during incidents and resolve issues within SLA commitments
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Document work in the company ticketing system and maintain knowledge-base documentation
  • Develop and maintain custom reporting, platform-specific build and support documentation, diagrams, and Customer Design Requirements (CDRs)
  • Assist with detailed Service Incident Reports (SIRs), including root-cause analysis and preventative measures
  • Plan and execute changes for incidents, customer requests, lifecycle, implementation, and decommission projects, often outside normal business hours
  • Triage incident, change, and request tickets for Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure and Disaster Recovery customers
  • Manage switches, firewalls, load balancers, IPSEC VPNs, and WAN networking configurations
  • Implement and administer network security hardware and software while enforcing network security policy
  • Provide overflow support for Cloud Services deployment engineering functions
  • Support the Network Solution Architect team regarding customer network designs
  • Pursue advanced certifications and stay current with Cisco, F5, and VMware technologies
  • Follow 11:11 Systems service-management best practices
  • Handle company data and information according to data-handling agreements, procedures, and policies
  • Review and follow company policies, data-privacy practices, annual compliance training, and policy acknowledgements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or related field experience
  • 10+ years recent experience as a technical, hands-on, Cisco-based network engineer
  • Cisco CCNP/CCIE certified with documented work experience
  • Experience working with global data center environments
  • Solid experience supporting and implementing virtualization clusters (VMware) and software-defined networking, including VMware NSX
  • Expert-level experience with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ASA/ASR, and F5 LTM, APM, ASM hardware platforms
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale, highly available, mission-critical network infrastructure
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Preferred: expert-level experience with BGP and OSPF
  • Preferred: experience with Citrix, Fortigate, Netscaler, SonicWall, and Juniper equipment
  • Preferred: professional experience in consulting or enterprise customer-facing technical support
  • Preferred: senior-level experience with network design and architecting network topologies for diverse environments
