Job Description
Senior Consultant designing and deploying network automation solutions for enterprise customers. Working with Network to Code’s Nautobot platform, IaC, CI/CD, and open-source networking tools.
Responsibilities:
- Work with customers to solve technical and operational challenges
- Develop automated solutions for modern networks
- Maintain frequent client communications
- Lead interactive discovery and design sessions
- Participate in regular meetings to ensure client satisfaction
- Influence client opinions through technical recommendations and responses to objections
- Identify project risks and challenges, develop resolution plans, and support troubleshooting
- Track project progress and correct delays
- Perform peer reviews, provide guidance, and contribute to code best practices
- Collaborate with Engineers and Managing Consultants on automation designs and technology stacks
- Lead customer calls and explain solution tradeoffs to executive leadership
- Translate manual workflows into high-level and low-level designs
- Develop technical documentation for client solutions
- Adopt new technologies and demonstrate technical excellence
- Participate in the full project lifecycle from assessment through deployment and documentation
- Develop software for internal and customer-facing projects
Requirements:
- Experience in a customer-facing, consulting role
- Ability to break down complex concepts and present them clearly and concisely to varied audiences
- Ability to make usability decisions involving naming, user experience, complexity tradeoffs, layout, and mapping technical solutions to customers' skillsets
- Comfortable context switching and working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with CI/CD applied to network automation
- Experience with data management concepts, including IaC and Source of Truth strategy
- Familiarity with Ansible and/or Python for automating networking devices
- Familiarity with Flask/Django for creating custom APIs
- Familiarity with pytest, Nornir, Netmiko, NAPALM, Batfish, Salt, and Robot Framework
- Familiarity with traditional Git workflows
- Strong understanding of Source of Truth automation strategy
- CCNP or equivalent networking knowledge
