Job Description
Senior Consultant supporting clients in implementing Digital-Workplace strategies with Omnissa Horizon. Involves project planning, design, and implementation in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- As an experienced Consultant (m/f/d), you will support our clients in implementing modern digital workplace strategies based on Omnissa Horizon.
- You will accompany projects holistically, from requirements analysis and architecture design to implementation and optimization of existing environments.
- Contribute your expertise to demanding client projects.
- Planning, design and implementation of Omnissa Horizon environments (on-premises, hybrid and cloud).
- Advising and supporting migrations of existing VDI platforms to Omnissa Horizon.
- Conducting workshops, technical assessments and proofs-of-concept.
- Integration of Horizon with related technologies such as vSphere, NSX, App Volumes and DEM.
- Analysis and optimization of existing environments with respect to performance, scalability and security.
- Preparation of architecture concepts, technical documentation and operations manuals.
- Close collaboration with project managers, sales teams and our clients’ IT departments.
- Technical support and troubleshooting as part of client projects and operational support.
- Taking on subproject leadership as well as providing technical guidance and the further development of Junior Consultants (senior-level).
Requirements:
- Professional experience, degree or training in the field of IT
- Several years of experience with VMware Horizon / Omnissa Horizon (VDI, Published Applications and Blast protocol)
- Solid knowledge of VMware vSphere / vCenter as well as Windows Server and client operating systems
- Experience working with Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS and PKI in VDI environments
- Good understanding of networking concepts, particularly Unified Access Gateway (UAG), load balancing and firewall rules
- Strong customer and consulting orientation as well as experience in designing and implementing technical solutions
- Analytical mindset, good communication skills and a quick grasp of new topics
- Fluent German (at least C1) and good English (at least B2)
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client assignments.
