Job Description

Senior Cybersecurity Engineer securing HomeServe’s enterprise systems, infrastructure, and business operations. Leading risk assessments, security architecture, incident response, compliance, and cybersecurity innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of security controls and solutions throughout the HomeServe business
  • Maintain appropriate security documentation
  • Perform day-to-day administration of security tools and devices
  • Shape security strategy, evaluate emerging threats, and implement scalable security solutions
  • Identify and prioritize security requirements with business units and risk functions
  • Perform advanced risk and business impact assessments
  • Develop enterprise strategies, roadmaps, and technical standards
  • Lead control and vulnerability assessments and direct remediation activities
  • Report residual risk, vulnerabilities, compliance gaps, and emerging threats to the Director of Information Security and management
  • Advise on application development, acquisition, and infrastructure projects
  • Guide security architecture decisions, policies, and standards
  • Define and improve baseline security configurations
  • Oversee resolution of internal and external audit findings
  • Lead or support significant security incidents, investigations, and compliance reviews
  • Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and analysts
  • Research, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies, threats, and industry trends
  • Represent Information Security in cross-functional initiatives, audits, and external reviews
  • Promote collaboration across IT and business teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in the Information Security field, with progression into senior-level responsibilities
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or equivalent security certifications
  • Strong knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls
  • Experience with SOC, SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IAM, PAM, and cloud security solutions
  • Experience securing generative and agentic AI technologies
  • Knowledge of securing CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Working knowledge of a modern programming language, centralized configuration management platforms, or SOAR playbook development
  • Experience with advanced risk assessments, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and forensic investigations
  • In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure and associated protocols
  • Ability to design, validate, and improve enterprise baseline configurations
  • Experience developing, documenting, and maintaining enterprise-level security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Ability to act as a subject matter expert and escalation point
  • Leadership in mentoring and guiding junior team members
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with advisory and oversight responsibilities
  • Must meet the physical requirements of the position, including occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds
