Job Description

Senior Data Analyst guiding commercial expansion and field operations for Starship Technologies’ autonomous delivery robots. Connecting complex datasets to drive scaling, efficiency, and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner strategically with Commercial and Operational leaders
  • Find answers to previously unanswered strategic questions about scaling, market selection and unit economics
  • Identify root causes behind business trends and solve complex commercial problems to maximise volume
  • Support expansion decisions using cost, drivability, routing efficiency, demographics and store popularity data
  • Build dynamic tools such as up-to-date partner dossiers to empower Commercial leaders
  • Partner analytically with Field Operations to frame problems, quantify impact, set targets and evaluate fixes
  • Identify operational opportunities involving partner satisfaction, customer experience, cost per delivery and revenue per robot
  • Connect robot telemetry, partner order data, walking distances, terrain, human courier ETAs, demographics and other datasets
  • Present analysis clearly to teams and senior leadership for use in decisions, negotiations and board discussions

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in an analytical role, with a track record of business, growth or product analysis rather than reporting
  • Background as a Data, Business, BI, Growth or Product Analyst, Data Scientist, Solutions Engineer or similar
  • Strong SQL skills working with complex datasets
  • Experience driving complex topics end-to-end, from rough idea through planning and execution to presenting the solution
  • Pragmatic can-do mindset focused on impact
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Autonomous Driving team, Commercial team and senior management
  • Judgement about what matters, distinguishing urgent, important and impactful work
  • Fluent English, written and spoken
  • Beneficial: dbt, Databricks, Python or R, and experience with semantic or metric layers
