Job Description
Senior Data Analyst helping Phase2, a digital modernization and AI agency, transform client data into decisions. Designing measurement frameworks, dashboards, experimentation, and AI-augmented analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits of client digital properties to verify analytics, tagging, and data pipeline configuration
- Design and implement measurement frameworks aligned with client business, marketing, and product strategies
- Advise on event-driven analytics, data layers, and tagging across web, mobile, CRM, and marketing platforms
- Build dashboards, reports, and self-service views using BI and visualization tools
- Troubleshoot data integrity, tracking, and pipeline issues across platforms and vendors
- Document implementations and lead analytics best-practice enablement sessions
- Lead stakeholder conversations to understand business goals and translate them into measurement and insight requirements
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to develop strategic recommendations across UX, content, marketing, and product
- Develop hypotheses related to acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and experience quality
- Recommend A/B testing, personalization, SEO testing, and CRO strategies tied to KPIs
- Connect insights across data sources into coherent, actionable narratives
- Identify analytics workflows suitable for AI acceleration or augmentation, including automated insights, anomaly detection, summarization, forecasting, and trend identification
- Use AI-assisted tools for data exploration, pattern discovery, narrative generation, executive summaries, experiment analysis, and insight synthesis
- Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to pilot AI-enabled analytics capabilities
- Contribute to AI-native delivery patterns and analytics playbooks
- Advise on data collection practices aligned with privacy, consent, and regulatory requirements
- Support data quality, taxonomy consistency, and measurement governance
- Explain tradeoffs, limitations, and risks in client data and technology ecosystems
- Own analytics workstreams end-to-end, including insight quality, delivery timelines, and client expectations
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee contractor work
- Support capability development within the Data & Insights team
- Contribute to sales and marketing through thought leadership, presentations, webinars, and proposals
- Act as a trusted analytics advisor to clients and internal teams
- Report to the Lead Data Analyst
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in digital analytics, marketing analytics, or data analysis in an agency or consulting environment
- Deep expertise with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
- Experience with enterprise analytics and tag management platforms including Google Marketing Platform, Tealium iQ, Adobe Launch, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of end-to-end digital measurement across websites, mobile, CRM, email, and marketing platforms
- Experience with AI-assisted analytics, machine learning-supported insights, or automated reporting workflows
- Experience collaborating with web and app development teams to configure, test, and validate analytics implementations across development, staging, and production environments
- Hands-on experience with raw data, complex SQL queries, data pipelines such as Fivetran, Stitch, and dbt, and data warehouses/cloud platforms such as GCP, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks
- Experience designing conversion tracking, funnels, goals, and event-based measurement models
- Experience building dashboards and reports using Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or Datorama
- Strong CRO and experimentation background, including interpreting test results and making recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently with attention to detail and accuracy
- Travel, sometimes frequent, is expected
- Preferred: event-driven/product analytics tools, CDP data sanitization and masking, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, M, R, personalization platforms, consent management platforms, relevant certifications, and HIPAA-compliant data systems experience
