Job Description
Senior Data Analyst improving raw healthcare data ingestion for NeueHealth, a value-driven healthcare company. Mapping, normalizing, monitoring, and documenting Bronze-layer data for engineering and analytics teams.
Responsibilities:
- Document data mapping to ingest raw data from diverse sources into the Bronze layer of the data lake
- Approach complex data mapping challenges with a creative, solution-oriented mindset
- Document data lineage and ingestion logic for transparency and compliance
- Establish and monitor data quality checks to identify anomalies, missing values, schema drift, and other data quality issues
- Troubleshoot ingestion issues and implement effective solutions
- Implement dashboards to track data health in the Bronze layer
- Foster operational excellence and continuous improvement within data operations
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Analytics or a similar field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytics role
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data manipulation in raw formats
- Relevant experience working with large datasets in a data lake environment
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT methodologies and best practices
- Understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques
- Experience with data quality management and testing frameworks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage priorities effectively in a dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and passion for data accuracy and traceability
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with complex healthcare data strongly preferred
- Preferred: experience with Scala, Databricks, modern data architecture patterns, big data technologies such as Spark and Delta Lake, data governance principles, and work in a data-driven organization
