Job Description
Data Analyst responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines remotely for a legal software company. Collaborating with teams to ensure efficient data management.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring data is collected, stored, processed and made available with reliability, security and efficiency.
- Ensure the quality, integrity, security and scalability of data across all stages of the data lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, product and business teams to enable data-driven solutions.
- Implement and maintain best practices for data governance, cataloging and management.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of data ingestion, transformation and storage processes.
- Support the definition and maintenance of data models that meet the organization’s analytical and operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies, in alignment with applicable regulations and legislation.
- Contribute to the automation and standardization of processes within the data ecosystem.
- Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new technologies and tools that increase the efficiency and reliability of the data environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related fields.
- Proven experience in data engineering, developing and maintaining production-grade data pipelines.
- Proficiency in data-focused programming languages, especially Python and/or SQL.
- Experience with cloud tools and services (preferably Google Cloud Platform — BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Composer or equivalents in AWS/Azure).
- Knowledge of data modeling and data architecture best practices.
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes, system integrations and handling large volumes of data.
- Understanding of data security, governance and data quality.
- Nice to have:
- Experience with data orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager).
- Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Data Mesh concepts.
- Knowledge of data cataloging and governance tools (Dataplex, Data Catalog, Collibra, etc.).
- Experience working in agile environments with a focus on continuous delivery of value.
