Job Description
Senior Data Engineer building high-scale, near real-time data pipelines for KnowBe4’s digital workforce security platform. Supporting global product teams from Brazil across US time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain high-scale, near real-time data pipelines for global product and service teams
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade event-based data pipelines processing thousands of events per second
- Implement scalable data modeling and orchestration logic to transform raw event streams into optimized downstream data models
- Extend core data platform toolsets and manage production pipeline release, monitoring, and maintenance
- Partner with product teams, downstream consumers, SRE/Infrastructure, and InfoSec to ensure data quality, security, and pipeline compliance
- Use agentic AI tooling to accelerate development, improve context management, and write maintainable code
- Provide operational support across US time zones while working from Brazil
Requirements:
- ~3–5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience building production data platforms; formal degree not strictly required
- Strong proficiency with Python, SQL, and PySpark
- Solid practical experience with AWS cloud services and Lakehouse/Data Lake fundamentals
- Familiarity with high-throughput event-based data streaming and real-time processing patterns
- Clear verbal and written English communication skills to collaborate effectively across international teams
