Job Description
Senior DevOps Engineer building Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid networking infrastructure. Bonapolia provides IT staff augmentation for product companies and consultancies across Europe and the US.
Responsibilities:
- Build and run cloud infrastructure for a US-based client
- Set up and manage Azure environments, governance, security, and monitoring
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform through GitHub pipelines
- Manage Microsoft 365 and identity infrastructure
- Perform SharePoint and OneDrive migrations
- Design and operate hybrid Azure networking with VPN Gateway, BGP, hub-and-spoke architecture, and FortiGate
- Troubleshoot network performance and routing issues
- Manage Azure Functions, Key Vault, and Azure Virtual Desktop
- Move databases and clients across a WAN, including replication, performance testing, cutover, and rollback
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience building Azure environments from the ground up, including management groups, subscriptions, Azure Policy, RBAC/PIM, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Defender
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Bicep or Terraform, deployed through GitHub pipelines
- Microsoft Entra ID experience with cloud sync from on-premises Active Directory
- Microsoft Intune, Conditional Access, and Windows Hello experience
- SharePoint and OneDrive migration experience
- Azure VPN Gateway with BGP over multiple circuits
- Hub-and-spoke network design with a FortiGate firewall
- Experience troubleshooting latency, jitter, and asymmetric routing
- Azure Functions with VNet integration
- Azure Key Vault
- Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Experience moving a database and its clients across a WAN, including replication, performance testing, cutover, and rollback
- Hands-on Azure experience including Entra ID, SharePoint, and networking
- General networking and VPN experience
- Windows server/instance administration experience
- Ability to work according to US Eastern Time (EST) at least 50% of the time
- No vacation during the first 1–2 months of the engagement
