Job Description

Lead Senior DevOps Engineer designing and implementing the entire DevOps platform. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure operational reliability for AI-driven mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment systems from prototype to production scale.
  • Design and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure preferred) for scalable backend services, AI workloads, and mobile backend support.
  • Build and optimize automated workflows for code integration, testing, model deployment (on-device and cloud ML), security scanning, and release processes.
  • Establish and enforce best practices: IaC, containerization, observability, monitoring/alerting, automated testing, and compliance.
  • Collaborate on system design, release strategies, performance tuning, and prioritization.
  • Mentor future team members as we expand the engineering group and help shape DevOps culture from the start.

Requirements:

  • Professional DevOps/SRE experience building and operating scalable infrastructure for consumer mobile or web apps (AI/ML, travel/location-based, or high-traffic consumer experience is a plus).
  • Expert-level proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), IaC tools, and container orchestration.
  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions), scripting/automation, monitoring/observability stacks, and security practices.
  • Practical experience supporting AI/ML workflows.
  • Proven success owning 0-to-1 DevOps setups or leading major infrastructure initiatives and comfortable making foundational decisions independently.
  • Strong product/operations sense: focus on reliability, low-latency performance, cost-efficiency, security-by-design, and rapid recovery in consumer-facing systems.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills and able to discuss trade-offs clearly with non-technical partners and engineers.
