Job Description
Senior DevOps Engineer managing infrastructure and deployment processes for healthcare tech company Prompt Therapy. Leading a team and ensuring scalability, security, and reliability in cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
- Directly manage a team of 5 other engineers, including weekly 1:1s, performance reviews, coaching/mentorship, and strategic prioritization
- Mentor up and coming engineers
- Participate and contribute to the Code Review process
- Participate in the on-call rotation
- Lead team syncs, retrospectives and other team-based ceremonies
- Conduct technical interviews with candidates to help build the Prompt Team
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure for our cloud-based platforms (AWS)
- Create and automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools (Gitlab / Github Actions)
- Build, maintain, and scale containerized applications with Docker and ECS/Fargate.
- Ensure system scalability, availability, and reliability through proactive monitoring and automation.
- Troubleshoot issues in both production and development environments.
- Work closely with development teams to enhance performance, security, and maintainability.
- Manage and optimize infrastructure as code.
Requirements:
- Experience managing people and projects
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
- Expert knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, ECS / Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and management.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Expertise in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Go, etc.).
- Proficient with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and optimize performance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
