Job Description

Senior Director shaping Gartner insights on healthcare providers' U.S. revenue cycle management, coding, and AI technologies. Advising executives and clients through research, presentations, and strategic guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Create innovative, thought-provoking, high-leverage must-have insights content
  • Develop thought leadership, actionable approaches, and new ideas addressing client needs
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify root causes of client barriers and drive strategy
  • Establish Insights positions across a team of analysts
  • Provide independent insights to Gartner leaders and influence research agendas
  • Research, analyze, and predict market trends and shifts
  • Advise clients and prospects through virtual and face-to-face interactions
  • Create and deliver presentations for Gartner events, industry and professional association conferences, and client briefings
  • Support BTI and Sales by serving as the voice of the market and driving client engagement
  • Conduct timely, high-quality content peer reviews
  • Represent Gartner insights, methodology, and strategy as an industry expert
  • Participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions with Insights peers
  • Improve research processes and develop new service-delivery processes
  • Mentor and coach more junior team members
  • Encourage clients to engage regularly with Gartner insights and interactions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred
  • 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
  • Direct experience working in U.S. revenue cycle management at a healthcare organization, technology vendor, or healthcare technology-focused research, advisory, or consulting firm
  • Understanding of applying automation and AI/ML to healthcare, including revenue cycle management, clinical documentation, and virtual care/telemedicine
  • Experience influencing senior-level decision-makers on revenue cycle management and related issues
  • Knowledge of modern revenue cycle processes, vendors, and hospitals' implementation challenges
  • Familiarity with clinical coding and documentation practices related to modern revenue cycle management and value-based care
  • Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) technologies for healthcare provider administration
  • Knowledge of key performance indicators and analytics for revenue cycle optimization
  • Executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational, research, writing, analytical, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data and applying patterns and frameworks
  • Subject matter expertise and comfort presenting at large- and small-scale speaking engagements
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a multicultural global team
  • Ability to navigate highly matrixed environments
  • Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% where applicable
