Job Description

Senior Gartner analyst shaping AI-era integration and API research. Advising enterprise leaders on MCP, AI gateways, and integration strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Create innovative, thought-provoking, high-leverage must-have insights content
  • Develop thought leadership, actionable approaches, and new insights for client needs
  • Analyze client barriers and needs to identify root causes and drive strategy
  • Establish Insights positions across a team of analysts
  • Bring independent insights to Gartner leaders and influence research agendas
  • Research, analyze, and predict market trends and shifts
  • Advise clients and prospects through virtual and face-to-face interactions
  • Create and deliver presentation materials for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings
  • Support BTI and Sales by serving as the voice of the market and driving client engagement
  • Conduct timely, high-quality content peer reviews
  • Build credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner insights, methodology, and strategy
  • Participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions
  • Collaborate with peers across the Insights community
  • Improve research processes and develop new service-delivery processes
  • Mentor and coach junior team members
  • Help clients engage regularly with Gartner insights and interactions
  • Advise Gartner clients on application integration trends, AI's impact on integration strategies, and MCP adoption
  • Advise clients on structuring integration teams
  • Advise clients on the emerging AI Gateway market and vendor selection
  • Drive Gartner's research in the Model Context Protocol (MCP) space and help clients develop MCP governance strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • Executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent research and writing ability
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data and apply patterns and frameworks
  • Strong communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts concisely
  • Subject matter expertise and comfort presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a multicultural global team
  • Learning agility and ability to navigate highly matrixed environments
  • Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% where applicable
  • Expertise in application integration, AI gateways, agent gateways, LLM gateways, MCP gateways, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) governance
