Job Description

Senior Engineer developing and supporting pharmacy-care software at AnewHealth. Building Ruby, JavaScript, Java, and cloud solutions for complex patient needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform innovative software development and product support
  • Work collaboratively with a Scrum team throughout the development lifecycle
  • Transform requirements into high-quality, valuable deliverables
  • Work in an Agile development environment and participate in Scrum ceremonies
  • Collaborate on design, development, and delivery of software solutions
  • Test, debug, and enhance existing applications
  • Contribute to code reviews
  • Analyze and research software requirements for user stories and epics
  • Resolve customer complaints and respond to software modification or enhancement suggestions
  • Learn new technologies and integrate them with cloud and product infrastructure
  • Raise problems to senior developers and help identify solutions
  • Communicate updates, changes, and risks to stakeholders
  • Embody AnewHealth’s Core Values in communications and interactions
  • Travel for organizational or department events, team meetings, trade shows, conferences, and client engagements as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or 5+ years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Minimum of 4+ years of software development experience with modern programming languages and concepts
  • Demonstrated experience delivering customer value rapidly while maintaining high software quality
  • Experience with Ruby, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.JS, Jasper, and Java
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, MySQL, and CouchDB preferred
  • Experience with agile methodology preferred
  • Proficiency with common development tools such as Git and Jira
  • Familiarity with pair programming, QA, and deployments
  • Ability to take ownership of deliverables and assigned tasks
  • Awareness, execution, and improvement of relevant team standards
  • Ability to be creative, flexible, and passionate about building quality software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently as needed
  • Must be able to commute to multiple site locations within assigned territory
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
  • Availability outside normal business hours on an ad-hoc basis
