Job Description

Senior consultant leading civil construction due diligence, monitoring, and multi-site portfolios for Bureau Veritas’ commercial real estate clients. Directing multidisciplinary technical teams and client programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for regional and national commercial real estate clients
  • Lead and manage PCAs, BSAs, commercial real estate due diligence, and construction monitoring projects
  • Manage multi-site client programs and portfolios, including 50+ properties
  • Provide technical expertise across commercial, land, site, retail, and industrial development
  • Evaluate civil/site conditions including grading, drainage, utilities, paving, stormwater, and other site improvements
  • Review technical reports, construction documents, plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and third-party assessments
  • Provide construction oversight and technical guidance throughout development and construction
  • Support municipal permitting, approvals, entitlements, and development processes
  • Develop scopes, technical recommendations, proposals, and client deliverables
  • Supervise, direct, mentor, and coordinate technical professionals, including assessors, architects, engineers, project managers, and subcontractors
  • Lead and coordinate 5+ technical staff or multidisciplinary resources as appropriate to the program
  • Conduct site visits and field observations as needed
  • Build trusted client relationships and support business development through technical expertise

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience performing or managing PCAs, BSAs, commercial due diligence, construction monitoring, or closely related real estate consulting work; candidates with 8–9 years of highly relevant experience will also be considered
  • Proven experience managing regional or national client portfolios, preferably multi-site programs involving 50+ properties
  • Experience serving as the primary technical client contact and lead
  • Ability to supervise or direct technical staff, assessors, architects, engineers, project managers, and subcontractors
  • Experience with commercial, land, site, retail, or industrial development and construction
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction, site development, real estate development, and property due diligence
  • Strong client communication, technical writing, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Real Estate Development, or a related field preferred
  • Civil Engineering education preferred, but a strong Project Manager or Development Project Manager background may be considered in lieu of the degree when supported by substantial technical, development, construction, and due diligence experience
  • Preferred: PE (Civil), CCM or PMP certifications
  • ASTM E2018/PCA industry experience
