Job Description
Senior Financial Systems Engineer owning Berlitz’s order-to-cash integrations across CRM, billing, payments, and NetSuite. Automating reconciliation and supporting global multi-entity financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Own the architecture and data contracts for the order-to-cash flow across HubSpot, Stripe, Adyen, Metronome, and NetSuite
- Build and maintain integrations using NetSuite SuiteScript and REST/SuiteTalk, PSP APIs and webhooks, and Workato
- Design reconciliation between payment processors, billing, bank settlements, and the ledger
- Build jobs, alerts, and audit trails to keep financial systems reliable
- Model prepaid credit packages and usage-based consumption, including deferred revenue, drawdown, expiry, refunds, and credit notes
- Support multi-entity and multi-currency operations, including subsidiaries, intercompany flows, FX, and tax handling
- Act as technical counterpart to the NetSuite implementation partner
- Partner with Finance to shorten and de-risk month-end close by removing manual work and fixing data quality at the source
- Document the financial data model and integrations
- Take technical ownership of the payments-to-ledger integration and identify reconciliation risks
- Ensure products bill, collect, and post to NetSuite correctly across entities and currencies
- Automate month-end reconciliation between PSPs and the ledger
- Monitor and maintain financial systems so they are trusted by Finance and ready to scale
Requirements:
- 6+ years in software engineering
- At least 3 years building or owning financial, billing, or payments systems
- Hands-on NetSuite development experience with SuiteScript 2.x, REST/SuiteTalk, and saved searches
- Understanding of NetSuite records including customers, sales orders, invoices, payments, deposits, and journals
- Production experience integrating Stripe and/or Adyen, including webhooks, idempotency, payouts and settlement reports, disputes, and fees
- Ability to explain revenue recognition, deferred revenue, cash application, and bank reconciliation
- Strong integration engineering fundamentals: API design, event-driven patterns, retries and error handling, and data validation
- Ability to translate between engineers, accountants, and commercial stakeholders
- Ability to ship pragmatically without creating reconciliation debt
- Experience with usage-based or consumption billing platforms is nice to have
- Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or other CRM-to-ERP integrations is nice to have
- iPaaS experience with Workato, Boomi, Celigo, or MuleSoft is nice to have
- Experience migrating from a legacy billing or CRM system is nice to have
- Exposure to SOC 2 / ISO 27001 controls around financial systems is nice to have
- Experience at a multi-country business or in education/subscription services is nice to have
