Job Description
Senior Flutter Developer building and shipping a secure Flutter web MVP for a UK financial-data platform. Implementing Riverpod state management, REST APIs, and Golden tests.
Responsibilities:
- Build and ship the web-based Flutter MVP to release quality
- Implement clean, maintainable state management using Riverpod
- Integrate secure RESTful APIs for financial data, using tools such as Retrofit for backend interaction
- Write Golden tests to keep widget UI consistent across changes
- Work closely with the technical lead on reviews and onboarding
- Structure the codebase to support future Android and iOS builds
Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years of professional software development experience
- Minimum 5 years hands-on Flutter experience
- Strong command of Riverpod for state management
- Proven experience building and consuming secure RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with Retrofit (or equivalent) for backend interaction
- Practical use of Golden tests for widget UI regression
- Comfortable working with sensitive financial data
- Strong written and spoken English
- Experience building MVPs in a startup or bootstrapped setting (nice to have)
- Fintech or financial services background (nice to have)
- Track record taking a web Flutter app through to mobile (nice to have)
