Job Description
Senior Frontend Developer building Contabo’s new cloud hosting product line. Creating customer-facing interfaces and tooling with TypeScript, Svelte, APIs, and modern frontend infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain Contabo’s new product line
- Make design, code, and infrastructure decisions based on product strategy and time-to-market
- Participate in on-call responsibilities
- Improve system redundancy and uptime proactively with the team
- Build customer-facing interfaces for Contabo’s platform, primarily GUI and also cloud-native open-source tools such as Terraform and CLIs
- Develop in the open with an active presence
- Build on top of APIs and collaborate closely with UX designers
- Develop the new product from the ground up
- Standardize APIs
- Help shape product design through integration with design frameworks
- Fix issues quickly and bring learnings back into the team
Requirements:
- Strong production experience with TypeScript 5.9 and use of the type system to prevent bugs
- Svelte 5 experience, including client-side routing with svelte5-router, or strong TypeScript experience with a comparable modern reactive framework
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Comfort working with evolving APIs
- Experience with Docker, Webpack 5, and PostCSS
- Experience with Svelte Material UI (SMUI) or a comparable component library
- E2E testing experience with Playwright and/or Cypress
- Keycloak.js or comparable SSO/OAuth implementation experience
- Fluent English skills required
- German language skills are a plus
