Job Description
Full Stack Engineer building Java/Spring backend services and cross-platform UI features. Improving buyer retention for Chrono24’s global luxury-watch marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Build features that encourage buyers to return, including Watch Collection, Wishlist, and user account functionality
- Collaborate closely with product management and UX
- Challenge product ideas and propose simpler solutions
- Design and build backend services and APIs with Java and Spring
- Implement frontend changes required by features
- Maintain reliability in production
- Work as part of a cross-functional Loyalty team owning its product area end to end
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Java and its ecosystem
- Experience with testing, CI/CD, and how software runs in production
- Experience with Spring, Maven or Gradle, SQL, and GitLab
- Frontend development experience on at least one platform: web (Vue.js), Android (Jetpack Compose), or iOS (SwiftUI)
- Ability to build and change UI features confidently
- Daily use of AI tools such as Claude Code, with critical review of generated output
- Experience setting up and improving an agentic coding environment is a plus
- Ability to think in terms of problems and assess feature impact
- Ability to write readable, maintainable, and trustworthy code
- Backend focus with willingness to implement frontend changes
- Pragmatic approach to technical decisions
- Willingness to challenge ideas and commit after decisions are made
