Job Description
Senior React Native Engineer scaling custom-branded telemedicine apps for Clever Benefits. Owning releases, shared architecture, and production mobile experiences across healthcare client portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Own mobile features end-to-end, from scoping and stakeholder identification through delivery
- Own the full release cycle, including versioning, build pipelines, App Store and Google Play submissions, review responses, and rollbacks
- Build and maintain shared mobile architecture for multiple custom-branded client apps
- Debug across the React Native and native boundary
- Keep apps ahead of iOS and Android platform requirements
- Contribute to system design and uphold standards for code quality, testing, and reliability
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with teammates on technical challenges
- Communicate with team members, leadership, and clients to deliver business outcomes
Requirements:
- 4+ years building and shipping production mobile applications, with significant depth in React Native and TypeScript
- Personally shipped apps to both the App Store and Google Play and owned the release and review process
- Comfortable working in native code, including Xcode and Android Studio output, native dependency and SDK issues, and platform-specific bugs
- Experience with offline behavior, deep linking, push notifications, secure local storage, and performance profiling
- Solid foundation in Node.js, tRPC, MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL, and AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, CDK)
- Comfortable scoping work, identifying edge cases, and challenging requirements without heavy product management support
- Passionate about system design, code quality, type-safety, and long-term maintainability
- Clear communicator who values collaboration and contributes to a positive, inclusive team culture
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to balance speed with quality
- Strong web-based React front-end skills (bonus)
- Experience with white-label or multi-tenant mobile apps (bonus)
- Experience in regulated domains such as healthcare (bonus)
- Based in or open to relocating to the Phoenix area (bonus)
