Job Description

Senior growth creative specialist producing paid-media, lifecycle, and AI-generated assets for Weedmaps, a global cannabis marketplace. Combining copywriting, design, and motion to accelerate creative testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Concept, write, design, animate, and deliver paid-media assets across static, motion, video, GIF, and AI-generated UGC formats
  • Produce assets for Meta, Google Display and Demand Gen, YouTube, TikTok, X, app-install, and programmatic placements
  • Design email templates and campaign sends, write push and in-app notification copy, and build modular lifecycle assets
  • Generate creative variants across hooks, formats, and messaging for testing cycles
  • Read performance results with channel owners and iterate on winning creative
  • Use generative AI tools across image, video, motion, and UGC production
  • Edit, cut, caption, animate, and finish contracted photo and video into channel-ready assets
  • Write headlines, ad copy, subject lines, CTAs, push copy, and landing-page copy
  • Create storyboards, kinetic type, product motion, transitions, and sound-off-first edits
  • Participate in channel planning and performance reviews and translate briefs into creative
  • Maintain brand consistency and quality across output
  • Ensure compliance with state-by-state messaging constraints and cannabis advertising platform restrictions
  • Build repeatable workflows including prompt libraries, templates, component libraries, asset naming, and versioning
  • Manage throughput and prioritization across concurrent tests, channels, and campaigns
  • Partner with Media Operations on asset trafficking, tagging, and organization
  • Establish AI-assisted creative production standards, guardrails, governance, licensing, and rights practices
  • Adapt creative output to business needs such as social campaigns, events, sales one-pagers, and partner decks

Requirements:

  • 4+ years building digital creative for a consumer brand, growth/performance agency, or as a high-volume freelancer
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong craft across static, motion/animated, and video formats
  • Strong range across copywriting, design, and motion; strong in two crafts and fully competent in the third
  • Demonstrated paid media work and ability to show ads, channels, and ideally performance
  • Lifecycle/CRM experience, including email design and build, push and in-app messaging
  • HTML/CSS for email or basic front-end familiarity for landing pages
  • Hands-on fluency with generative AI creative tools for image, video, motion, and UGC generation
  • Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere) and Figma
  • Working understanding of paid-media creative testing and optimization
  • Ability to work fast in a high-volume, iterative testing environment while maintaining quality
  • Self-directed ability to take a brief, ask key questions, and deliver work
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working as an embedded partner in a performance-driven team
  • Compliance awareness for platform-policy and regulatory requirements in restricted categories is required by the role
