Job Description
Product Development Senior Advisor leading ACA and Stand-Alone Dental contracts, regulatory changes, and launches. Cigna Healthcare advocate for better health through every stage of life.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development and maintenance of customer contract language for ACA and Stand-Alone Dental plans
- Work with state filing and compliance teams to ensure contracts comply with market-specific requirements
- Lead responses to form objections with legal, state filings, operations, and other stakeholders
- Analyze state and federal mandates and determine end-to-end impacts across product, pricing, operations, and member materials
- Develop and implement approaches for regulatory changes affecting member contracts and related materials
- Collaborate with Marketing on broker and member marketing materials
- Identify product and benefits issues and implementation roadblocks early in the plan development process
- Support issue resolution and new product development through product launch
- Provide expert content and professional leadership on complex Product Development assignments and projects
- Assist in developing and implementing operational guidelines and objectives for the product portfolio
- Design, execute, and manage mid-size projects
- Advise functional leaders using deep professional knowledge and business judgment
- Provide thought leadership within Product Development and contribute to broader business projects
- Serve as an internally recognized subject matter expert
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in healthcare insurance, or 10+ years of equivalent experience in healthcare insurance
- Prior experience with IFP product filings strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of ACA, Stand Alone Dental, and Individual & Family Plan products, including applicable regulations, rules, and market requirements
- Solid understanding of CMS and state filing requirements, terminology, and regulatory environments for ACA and Stand Alone Dental plans
- Experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining customer contract language and supporting responses to form objections
- Ability to analyze state and federal mandates, assess business impacts, and support implementation across product, pricing, operations, and member materials
- Experience supporting new product development and product launch activities within a regulated environment
- Demonstrated ability to identify gaps, develop solutions, and effectively implement change
- Strength in gaining consensus across multidisciplinary teams, including internal and external partners
- Ability to work effectively within a complex and rapidly changing regulatory environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong Microsoft Office suite proficiency
- Working knowledge of the HighRoads platform and/or other product management systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently while also building strong working relationships within a matrix organization
- Proven ability to provide mentorship and support to junior-level analysts
- Detail-oriented with strong professional judgment and problem-solving skills
- Internet connection obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload when working at home
