Job Description
Senior Information Security Manager leading security operations, incident response, and AI governance. Protecting 8am’s payments and workflow platform serving 250,000 U.S. professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the security engineering/analyst team, including delivery, prioritization, coaching, and performance
- Own security platforms including EDR, SIEM, compliance automation, vulnerability management, and CSPM
- Own detection and response workflows
- Manage the security metrics pipeline covering remediation velocity, control assurance, and coverage for quarterly business reviews
- Drive AI adoption in tooling for improved detection
- Define and enforce security standards for AI/agentic systems, including LLM integrations, orchestration, and governance
- Lead incident response during EU hours with U.S. coordination
- Conduct post-incident reviews
- Partner on compliance audits including SOC 2, PCI DSS, and EU regulations
- Lead security design reviews across product lines with risk ratings, SLAs, and documented standards
- Monitor relevant threat intelligence and convert it into actionable detections
- Partner cross-functionally to investigate card testing, fraud, and abuse attacks
- Turn investigation findings into detections and hardening recommendations
- Partner closely with the U.S.-based VP of Information Security and compliance and privacy operations team
Requirements:
- 7+ years in information security, including 2+ years leading technical security staff
- Hands-on depth in cloud security operations, AWS preferred, SIEM/log analytics, EDR platforms, and vulnerability management programs
- Track record of building measurable, metrics-driven security programs in a compliance-heavy environment, such as PCI DSS or SOC 2
- Experience operating in distributed, cross-timezone teams
- Excellent written communication
- Fluent professional English
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation
- Preferably based in Brno, Czech Republic
- Bonus: Experience securing or governing AI/LLM systems and agentic tooling
- Bonus: Familiarity with the EU regulatory landscape, including GDPR, and fintech or legal-tech domains
