Job Description
Senior Machine Learning Engineer operating Databricks AI Factory products for Muttdata’s multinational beverage client. Managing ML pipelines, deployments, observability, and production reliability across countries.
Responsibilities:
- Orchestrate production pipelines on Databricks Jobs, chaining tasks via depends_on and managing failure modes (ALL_SUCCESS / ALL_DONE)
- Configure and maintain deployments via Databricks Asset Bundles, promoting across dev, QA, and production targets with resource/deployment files per country
- Manage model and artifact lifecycles in MLflow and Unity Catalog, including registration, versioning, Champion/Challenger aliases, and rollback
- Manage compute across workspaces and standardize cost-monitoring tags for FinOps
- Integrate with AIOps and observability systems
- Diagnose runtime incidents and coordinate with development squads
- Keep production pipelines healthy, reliable, observable, and scalable across environments and countries
Requirements:
- Proven experience orchestrating data/ML pipelines on Databricks (Jobs, Workflows, cluster policies)
- Solid CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps, gitflow, and PRs
- Infrastructure as code with Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs)
- Code quality standards including black, isort, and mypy
- Advanced Python
- Advanced SQL
- Delta / Unity Catalog knowledge
- Experience with multi-country schemas, drift/cost monitoring, and deployment automation
- Experience developing AI agents or agentic infrastructure, such as Mosaic AI Agent Framework, agent orchestration, or MCP (nice to have)
- Currently based in Mexico or a similar time zone for overlap with Mexico working hours (nice to have)
