Job Description

Senior investigations manager leading workplace investigations, investigator training, and operational standards for World Vision’s global Christian humanitarian network. Matrix-managing regional specialists and coordinating cross-functional investigative functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to multiple functions and teams conducting investigations across the Partnership
  • Lead improvements and alignment of systems used by Integrated Investigations, Regional Investigative Specialists, Fleet, Cybersecurity, VisionFund International, and other World Vision functions
  • Develop efficiencies across investigation operations to ensure high-quality, consistent investigations that protect World Vision’s reputation and ministry
  • Develop and execute training and capacity-building strategy for full- and part-time investigators across the Partnership
  • Serve as a matrix manager to 7 Regional Investigative Specialists, providing leadership, problem-solving guidance, and coaching
  • Develop and maintain streamlined, consistent investigation tools and protocols for World Vision investigators
  • Serve as senior point of contact for escalations and requests related to investigative operations, quality, and capacity
  • Provide matrix leadership for Regional Investigative Specialists managing Regional Oversight Committees and investigator capacity
  • Ensure investigators and complaint-handling personnel are trained and follow operational guidelines
  • Resolve investigative operational concerns from senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Monitor and improve intake and triage phases of new investigations
  • Lead and perform high-level and complex investigations as requested by the Director
  • Manage WITP and Knowledge Check enrollment requests across English, Spanish, and French
  • Lead and support monthly Investigations Operations and RIS meetings
  • Ensure the Investigations Dashboard is updated and accurate
  • Coordinate the Investigations Management SharePoint site
  • Develop investigator capacity-building programs with senior leadership and key functional areas
  • Develop advanced and specialized investigator training programs with subject-matter experts
  • Operate a centralized registry of trained investigators
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships and represent World Vision to donors, regulators, and professional associations as needed
  • Monitor trends and activities in global compliance, workplace, safeguarding, fraud, and corruption investigations
  • Align investigative approaches across Cybersecurity, Fleet Management, SSR, VFI, P&C, Legal, and other functions
  • Provide oversight and guidance to Regional Oversight Committees
  • Ensure information-sharing, triage, and investigations oversight processes function smoothly

Requirements:

  • Please submit your CV in English
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or related higher education
  • Formal professional training and/or internationally recognized certification as an investigator in fraud and/or workplace behavior
  • 8-10 years’ experience leading and/or providing oversight to internal workplace investigations in a large international organisation (NGO)
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal skills
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong interpersonal and working relationships in a dispersed virtual, international context
  • Experience developing and training investigators
  • Experience translating complex technical concepts and simplifying information for mass consumption and usage by a broad international audience
  • Proven ability to translate data into information and analysis that communicates an easily understood concept or message
  • Experience engaging and working with a wide range of senior leadership-level stakeholders
  • Strong investigative skills, including the ability to act as a lead investigator if needed
  • Ability to think strategically and evaluate complex and disparate processes across the Partnership to identify and implement efficiencies and simplification projects aligned with external best practices
  • Fluency/high level of professional and technical spoken and written English
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally and/or internationally up to 15% of the time
