Job Description
Strategic Planning & Operations Senior Manager at Amgen contributing to business priorities in a dynamic environment. Collaborating across departments and leading strategic initiatives within US Value & Access teams.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior US V&A and Brand leadership to support strategic priorities and drive implementation of initiatives and pilots that accelerate appropriate brand utilization
- Support strategy development and execution across USV&A Oncology, Rare Disease, Trade & Channel, and Denosumab teams
- Lead synthesis and sharing of insights across USV&A leadership to inform portfolio management decisions and potential changes to brand strategy
- In collaboration with the leadership team, drive consistent execution of strategy by developing common Contracts & Pricing platforms for payers and sites of infusion and establishing standard processes within Trade & Channel, including wholesalers and specialty pharmacy
- Support the quarterly operating cadence, including latest estimated discount rate (LEDR) processes, brand business reviews, forecasting, and long-range scenario planning
- Lead bi-weekly leadership meetings, including agenda development, documentation of decisions and action items, and follow-through on commitments
- Coordinate with Market Access and C&P teams to plan and complete field-facing meetings, including Semester 1 (S1) and Semester 2 (S2) meetings
- Support coordination of launches, training initiatives, and conference participation
- Lead planning and execution for all-staff town halls, including speaker coordination and executive presentation development
- Support and advance the organization’s commitment to building an inclusive, successful culture
- Partner with Human Resources on talent, engagement, and organizational initiatives as needed
Requirements:
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of relevant professional experience OR
- Master’s degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant professional experience OR
- Associate’s degree and 10 years of relevant professional experience OR
- High school diploma / GED and 12 years of relevant professional experience
- Field leadership and/or Home Office experience
- Experience in US Market Access, Contracts & Pricing, Trade, and/or related commercial functions
- Strong understanding of US managed markets, access intermediaries, and healthcare policy
- Demonstrated critical thinking with the ability to translate ideas into tangible results
- Strong planning, analytical, project management, and organizational skills
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including executive-level presentation development
- Contracting and pricing experience in payer and/or provider settings.
