Job Description

Metrology Engineer developing and integrating metrology processes for advanced memory technologies at Micron Technology. Collaborating globally to shape future semiconductor devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with process and integration guides to qualify Low and High NA EUV lithography processes
  • Working hands-on with equipment, materials, layouts, and data
  • Partnering with global partners to move innovations from R&D into high-volume manufacturing
  • Developing and integrating metrology processes for advanced memory technologies
  • Performing material evaluations, reticle and layout development, OPC, overlay optimization, and process window analysis
  • Driving yield improvement, failure analysis, and device performance optimization
  • Partnering with equipment vendors to evaluate tools and improve process capability
  • Documenting processes, communicating results, and supporting technology transfer to manufacturing

Requirements:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical Degree relevant to Metrology
  • B.S. with 2+ years semiconductor processing experience with emphasis on metrology will also be considered
  • Experience or working knowledge in metrology or semiconductor process development
  • Working knowledge of process characterization, data analysis, and statistical methods
  • Ability to collaborate within multi-functional technical teams
  • Experience with metrology techniques that include methods of critical dimension measurement, registration measurement and films characterization (Preferred)
  • Experience working with semiconductor equipment vendors or R&D environments (Preferred)
  • Experience providing and/or analyzing metrology solutions specific to EUV photolithography challenges (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python/JMP/SQL) for data analysis and automation (Preferred)
