Job Description
Senior MQA Engineer testing web-based prescription-access software for Newfire Global Partners’ digital-health client. Performing API, regression, release, exploratory, and manual application testing.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing of web-based applications
- Create and maintain testing artifacts, including checklists and test cases
- Participate actively in the software development life cycle
- Search for, record, and track software bugs
- Analyze potential product-quality risks
- Execute test cases based on test cases and checklists
- Conduct exploratory application testing
- Perform product regression testing
- Conduct release testing
- Perform API testing
- Estimate testing efforts
- Execute test plans
- Prioritize tests and select the most important tests under time constraints
- Analyze requirements
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience
- Practical experience with Agile/Scrum development processes
- Experience in REST API testing
- Experience with functional, regression, usability, and GUI testing
- Requirements reviewing and analysis experience
- Experience using test management tools such as qTest and TestRail
- Experience in test planning and estimating
- Experience with Scrum
- Knowledge of bug-tracking tools and processes, especially JIRA
- Understanding of web-application and browser functioning principles
- Understanding of client-server architecture and communication principles
- Experience with Postman and Reverse Proxy (Charles)
- Knowledge of SQL
- Legal work authorization in the country of residence, with documentation required
- Preferred: experience using continuous integration tools such as GitLab
- Nice to have: understanding of TDD and BDD
