Job Description

Senior Level 3 Network Technician supporting enterprise networking and data center operations aboard cruise vessels. Requires extensive travel and ability to work onboard cruise ships for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 3 support for complex network, server, virtualization, and infrastructure issues.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco network environments, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Support and administer Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related services.
  • Manage and troubleshoot virtualization platforms including Hyper-V and VMware.
  • Perform network diagnostics, root cause analysis, and resolution of performance, connectivity, and infrastructure issues.
  • Support data center operations, including rack and stack activities, cabling, hardware replacement, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Coordinate and execute planned maintenance activities while minimizing operational impact.
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, system configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource onsite and provide guidance to remote support teams as needed.
  • Maintain adherence to client operational procedures, security standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with client stakeholders, vessel personnel, and third-party vendors.

Requirements:

  • Senior Level 3 Network Technician with extensive travel commitment
  • U.S. Citizen required
  • Valid Passport required
  • Ability to live and work onboard active cruise ships
  • Willingness to remain onboard for assignments lasting up to 4–5 months
  • Ability to travel internationally and meet all cruise line onboarding requirements
  • Strong Cisco networking expertise
  • Virtualization experience
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote and dynamic environments
