Job Description
Senior Network & Security Engineer building and managing Cisco, Fortinet, firewall, LAN, and WLAN infrastructure for Swiss customers. Troubleshooting incidents and developing network automation solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage corporate networks for customers
- Operate, maintain, and continuously develop complex network environments
- Plan, design, and operate modern firewall, LAN, and WLAN infrastructures
- Analyze incidents, resolve issues independently, and manage network-related changes
- Develop automation solutions to increase operational efficiency
- Support internal sales teams with technical expertise throughout the pre-sales process
Requirements:
- Higher education in computer science or equivalent professional experience
- Certifications or training in Cisco and Fortinet are required; knowledge of additional vendors is a plus, as is a willingness to obtain further certifications
- In-depth knowledge of perimeter security, routing and switching, VPN, TCP/IP, and WLAN
- Experience with an IT service provider and initial software development experience are advantageous
- Excellent written and spoken German
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Independent, quality-conscious working style, combined with team spirit and analytical thinking
- Experience in project work
- Relevant certification in networking or security, such as CCNP or NSE 8
